About Sentence to Success
Sentence to Success is a pre-charge and pre-conviction diversion program designed to meet individuals at a critical turning point—after entering the criminal legal system, but before long-term consequences take hold.
This program was built on the belief that meaningful change happens early—when accountability, structure, and support are introduced at the right time.
Sentence to Success works with individuals who have low to moderate substance use involvement and are appropriate for early intervention outside of a courtroom setting. In partnership with the District Attorney’s Office and defense attorneys, charges may be paused while participants complete a structured 90–120 day program focused on accountability, stabilization, and growth.
Sentence to Success is built on a set of core principles that guide every interaction, every decision, and every opportunity within the program. These are not just ideas they are expectations we live by.

We believe individuals should take responsibility for their actions but not be defined by them. Accountability is about ownership, growth, and forward movement, not punishment or humiliation.
Structure Creates stability
Clear expectations, consistent communication, and defined steps matter. Structure provides the foundation for individuals to rebuild trust, create routine, and move forward with confidence.
People over process
While systems and policies matter, people come first. Every participant is treated as an individual with unique experiences, strengths, and needs not just a case or a charge.

We believe in repairing harm, rebuilding trust, and restoring individuals back into their communities with purpose not simply cycling them through the system.
